1) Securing Funding and Sustainability for Deaf Theatres Worldwide
The primary focus of this panel is to address the critical challenges related to securing funding and ensuring the sustainability of Deaf theatres on a global scale. Discussions will focus around strategies to support Deaf writers, actors, production crews and directors, engage community backing for Deaf theatre initiatives, and overcome obstacles such as declining interest in Deaf theatre.

This panel will investigate potential advancements and innovations in theatre technology aimed at enhancing the experience for sign language users. It will concentrate on developments such as online performance through sign language, immersive experiences tailored for Deaf audiences, the integration of AI storytellers in sign language, online performances signed in International Sign, new captioning systems, advancements in sign language interpretation technology, and the overall integration of technology to create more inclusive theatrical productions for Deaf individuals.
