Step into the world of 20Hertz with the dance performance “Foundation”. Foundation is a stimulating performance full of different urban dance styles combined with Visual Vernacular. It tells the story of the mining history of the South of the Netherlands. Foundation is raw and underground: a unique and visual performance.

For the dancers of 20Hertz, encountering urban dance styles was a turning point in their lives. But for the South of the Netherlands, the creation of the coal mines was just such a benchmark. Complete cities formed around these coal mines. Together, both turning points form the inspiration for Foundation.

With this performance, 20Hertz delves deep into the past, looking for what has shaped them into the unique artists they are today. They are guided by the mining history that has marked the South of the Netherlands. Where is the connection between their history and the art of dancing and VV?
