Bilingual French Sign Language

The first confinement moved many lines in our society. Our relationship with life, time, death and the future has been redefined. We have also had to reinvent our relationship with our neighbors, our relationship with technology and, finally, the relationship between the generations.

This piece questions a current ideological split between the generations.
The story gives us a glimmer of hope, and suggests ways in which the generations can position themselves in relation to each other. Harsh things are said and heard. Questions need to be asked and listened to. But it's our actions that always speak louder than our words.

We sometimes know less about our direct neighbors, the ones who breathe the same air as us, drink the same water as us, than about other distant individuals, grouped together by center of interest on social networks. This artistic creation invites us to open up to those with whom we cohabit. It's an invitation to meet.

Anthony Guyon & Olivier Calcada

Alexandre Bernhardt
